Sir, – Rather than spending tens of thousands of euros retrofitting our homes, why not take the much cheaper and more environmentally friendly option of simply retrofitting ourselves?
Go find that woollen jumper that has been sitting in a drawer for years, put it on and turn down the heating! We really don’t need our homes to be heated to a level which allows us to wander from room to room in light summer clothing in the middle of winter, but for some reason, that is what many people seem to have come to expect. – Yours, etc.
