Sir, - Arthur Beesley suggests (November 24th) that our 900 non-automated post offices would not benefit from any possible future developments in our BillPay business. All 1,911 offices in the An Post network participate in this service - which handled 14 million transactions in 1999. Bills paid at non-automated offices are transferred to our central electronic processing centre. Non-automated offices will have an important part to play in any expansion of this part of our business. - Yours, etc.,
