Sir, – Your editorial "The case for an inquiry into the handling of the pandemic: the least the public deserves" (September 9th) makes a very strong case for such an inquiry to start sooner rather than later.
The comment quoted in your editorial by the Tánaiste that “any inquiry can wait until after the pandemic has ended” is definitely kicking this process far down the road!
God only knows when the pandemic will truly, if ever, end. – Yours, etc,
