Sir, - It's all very well Nuala O'Faolain refusing to sneer at Orange parades with their "brio and skill and pride", and of course she did have a jolly day out on the Twelfth with friendly people along the Lisburn Road; but for some odd reason - and I really do not think it is either a sneering or an ignorant reason - I have been wondering (ever since I read her column) how similarly, or how differently, she might have expressed herself, had she been present at a Brownshirt rally in, say, Munich, in 1932, among all the jolly Germans, with their children and their picnics and the oompahboompah of their stirring and colourful brass bands? - Yours, etc., John Arden,
