LOUIS OWENS,
Sir, - Your business pages report that revenue from the Irish operations of NTL increased by 40 per cent in the first quarter of this year.
It is truly phenomenal that a company earning £14 million per quarter cannot marshal its vast resources to provide the courtesy of a single response to the repeated queries of a customer of over 12 years' standing regarding the cancelling of its provision of the Eurosport service.
Likewise, the request for a written description of the services it undertakes to provide for the fee it charges remains unanswered.
All the while this obdurate monopoly still has the audacity to advertise Eurosport as part of the basic service it provides on its website.
Is there any reason why the multitude of regulatory authorities set up to monitor and regulate every aspect of businesses operating in this sphere seem to have no interest in protecting consumers? - Yours, etc.,
LOUIS OWENS,
