Madam, - You report (August 11th) that "RTÉ had employed the services of a company which specialised in television branding" in coming to its decision to rename Network 2 as RTÉ 2.
If only it had kept a copy of the RTÉ Guide from 1978, when its second television service opened, it might have saved the consultants' fee. Back then and for many years afterwards, the service was called RTÉ 2. - Yours, etc.,
