Madam, - Now that the smoking ban is almost in place, perhaps "Nanny Martin" could turn his attention to the microwaves generated by mobile phones. On a recent trip to England I experienced "quiet time" on the train in the form of the mobile phone free carriage. For 30 blissful minutes I didn't have a running commentary on what station was coming up, who was collecting whom and what they'd be having for dinner.
