Sir, – Further to Dr Fiona Quinn's letter (August 4th), my wife and I, both in our 70s, had our medical cards withdrawn last month as we have exceeded the €900 (per week) limit for a couple. My annual pension figure has not increased, but due to the recent social welfare increase we find ourselves over the limit through no fault of ours. – Yours, etc,
