Madam, – Following the result of Brian Cowen’s “success”, I am eagerly awaiting canvassers from Fianna Fáil in the lead-up to the general election, whenever that may be!

My son is autistic, high functioning, and was receiving therapy from the HSE. We have recently been informed he will now be put on a waiting list to receive therapy in his school because the “total number” of students that funding is available for, has been met. More upsetting is the fact that therapy may not be given to him until 2013. And he is not the only child in this school that this is happening to.

There are four others. All of whom, given the right education and resources, would have no difficulty in contributing to society and the economy in the future.

To take from our children’s right to an education is against the Constitution of the country – and if the Government continues to do so, I will, personally, hold it to account for this. My child and every child on this land deserves no less. – Yours, etc,
