Madam, - Heartfelt thanks to Tom Humphries (Sport, November 11th) for bringing to light the sad lack of recognition and promotion for the very skilful game of camogie.
While many a woman may stand behind her man when it comes to hurling and Gaelic football, there seems to be little reciprocal support for camogie within the GAA. It is time for the Camogie Association to move fully within the umbrella of the GAA so that it can be guaranteed the funding and promotional opportunities the game needs and deserve and which football, hurling and indeed women's football receive.
I hope the GAA Congress will address this problem when it meets next March. - Is mise,
