Sir, – Growing up I was led to believe a gentleman could be judged by the shine of his shoes, the cleanliness of his shirt and a well-fitted tie. I could not see President Trump’s shoes and am sure his shirt was well-starched, but his tie was ill-fitted, hanging well below the trouser top. The tip of a tie should just reach the belt, and the other end pushed through the loop at the back of the tie and placed inside the trouser top, thus keeping the tie steady. – Yours, etc,
SEAMUS STEPHENSON,
