Madam, - May I, with respect, correct Ms Eileen Bell, the Alliance victims spokeswoman (The Irish Times, November 4th), when she described those who used six-inch bails to impale Mr Harry McCartan's hands as "spineless sick animals?" The attackers were human beings - God help us all. Animals wouldn't be so inhuman! - Yours, etc.,
