Sir, – Congratulations to Kevin Abosch for persuading an anonymous businessman to part with €1 million for a photo of a potato ("Irish photographer says he sold picture of potato for €1 million", January 27th).
As Mr Abosch laments that “the life of a potato is violent and taken for granted”, one can only hope his model received an appropriate percentage of the million euro. – Yours, etc,
