Sir, – As the schools are on holidays and the weather is atrocious I decided to take my grandchildren to the cinema. I looked up the local screens to find something suitable and was horrified at what I found.
A short description of each film was given and included the following: 1. Very strong bloody violence. 2. Moderate sex and drug references. 3. Strong violence, gory injury and horror. 4. Intense fantasy violence. 5. Strong language and brief sex scenes. 6. Mild violence.
Having read all this, I now have a better understanding as to why the newspaper is every day full of reports of casual indiscriminate violence and crime. – Yours, etc,
