Madam, - I was really impressed with the picture of Michael Warren's sculpture "Gateway" in your edition of November 27th. It looks so beautiful and says so much about Dun Laoghaire being a gateway to Ireland.
I cannot for the life of me understand how people can find such a fantastic piece of art "visually intrusive". They should go take a look a look at the McDonald's sign round the corner!
We in Ireland have a long way to go in our understanding of art and sculpture.
