A chara, – So much too for a new way of doing things. For all the talk about transparency and consultation with the people, we do not know what details the chosen few are discussing behind closed doors. Will the housing crisis be solved by direct state investment in building houses, or will we rely on the market and the inevitable bubble that will follow it?
A really new way of doing things would be to consult trade unions, residents associations, chambers of commerce, farming groups, rural support groups, and so on as, as to what they want, and get their input.
But no, it’s the old smoked-filled room. We plebs have to wait until our masters have decided what is good for us, and have worked out how they’ll implement policies they haven’t even agreed on yet. – Is mise,
