Madam, - I praise your detailed and comprehensive coverage of events in Iraq. But has Ireland and the rest of the world forgotten about the abuse, pillage and slaughter that continues daily in the Democratic Republic of Congo?
North-east Congo in recent times has seen literally thousands of local people displaced or fleeing because of the continuing war between Rwanda and Uganda taking place in their own homelands, as both countries try to make sure the region's valuable resources stay under their control. Have I seen this covered in The Irish Times in recent weeks? Perhaps a few lines - but no sign of the international attention the crisis deserves. - Yours, etc.,
