Sir, – To read that the Minister for the Environment is asking all councillors for reform proposals on zoning and expenses is mind- boggling (Home News, June 8th).
Are not these the people who caused a lot of the zoning problems? If the minister requires an opinion as to what needs to be done, then he should read the Bord Snip Nua report, chaired by Dr Colm McCarthy in July 2009.
He knows what needs to be done. The public also knows.
It looks like the will to reform is not present. – Yours, etc,
