A chara, – My solar panels have been working like a horse in this fine weather, and to my delight, my electricity consumption from the grid has dropped accordingly. I was bemused to see Electric Ireland rewarding me with an increased standing charge for my efforts. It would actually have been cheaper for me to draw more power from the grid!
