Madam, – In his letter (April 18th) Seán Owen asks what would be the offence for tearing up €100 notes at a rate of one per second on Dublin’s O’Connell Street. The answer is none: capital punishment is replaced by life with hard labour (for the rest of us).
As regards his own fate, he merely needs to keep repeating that he is doing this to pay nurses, teachers and gardaí, until he is picked up in a ministerial car. – Yours, etc,
