Madam, – Suppose I were stand in Dublin’s O’Connell Street and start tearing up €100 notes at a rate of one per second. If I did this for 16 hours per day, it would take me about four years and nine months to go through €10 billion. This would account for working Christmas Day, taking no holidays, no fancy meals and no bonus.

I wonder how long it would be before I would be arrested and charged with some offence and locked away?

And what would the offence be? Answers on a €100 note, please. – Yours, etc,
