Sir, – Taoiseach Micheál Martin said he does not approve of any unilateral breaching of Covid 19 regulations, no matter what quarter they come from. He also said, in what could be describe as a putdown of the Catholic bishops, that he wanted to know if it was “too much to ask” that the current regulations are adhered to (News, July 30th).
Surely is it not “too much to ask” why there was no engagement with church representatives on the revision of public health guidelines! – Yours, etc,
