Madam, - A few days before Christmas, in a very well-stocked greeting cards shop (the range extends to birthday cards for cats and dogs), I failed to find what I was seeking: anything that would reflect the central message of Christmas - a Nativity scene or any related topic.
When I asked the very courteous assistant whether there was anything of that nature available she replied: "Sorry, we don't stock those."
Was this a case of "no room in the shop"? - Yours, etc.,
