Sir, - Further to Gia Howard's letter of March 20th, I visited Coole Park on Friday, March 15th, the day before her own visit. Following a day's rain which had ceased at around 4.30 p.m. the bird song was exquisite between 5.00 and 6.00 p.m.
The proposal to build a dual carriageway between the old gate lodge and the woods of Coole Park leaves the combined outcry over Fitzwilliam Street, Hume Street, Wood Quay and Doonbeg in the ha'penny place. - Yours, etc.
