Sir, – In Monday’s Irish Times sports supplement many column inches were devoted to the Tyrone versus Kerry semi-final. Six colourful photos displayed some of the game’s drama and even the journalists had their thumbnail pictures included in the reports.
In sharp contrast, the meagre coverage given to the All-Ireland senior camogie semi-finals between Cork and Kilkenny and Galway and Tipperary was very telling. Those two match reports were squashed together with only one photo between them.
It would appear that, when it comes to male sports, size does matter. – Yours, etc,
