Sir, – I see that planning permission for Dublin’s newest mosque prohibits the broadcasting of the “call to prayers” from the minarets (Home News, August 29th). In contrast, the Angelus is rung out every day from churches throughout the country, and indeed is broadcast nationwide by RTÉ. Are we really a pluralistic society? – Yours, etc,
