Sir, – I disagree with Kenneth Harper (Letters, September 4th). I for one do not want to see a Government of nodding donkeys all toeing the three-party line. What a Minister for Agriculture thinks of the Eighth Amendment is hardly of concern. That he thinks for himself, has the courage of his convictions, and has a well-documented experience of farming matters are more relevant to a member of Government and Minister for Agriculture. – Yours, etc,
