Sir, – The more I read how many people are trying to solve the soft Border-hard Border Brexit puzzle, the more it sounds like someone trying to complete a jigsaw which has four corner pieces but no side pieces. What connects the four corners are not straight lines. – Yours, etc,
DERMOT O’ROURKE,

Sir, – Shouldn't Boris Johnson's article on maintaining excellent relations with Ireland (Opinion & Analysis, November 17th) have been confined to the fiction section of Saturday's Ticket magazine? – Yours, etc,
KEVIN O’SULLIVAN,
Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
Sir, – During his speech in Berlin on November 16th, UK Brexit secretary David Davis warned against “putting politics above prosperity” in Britain’s post-Brexit relationship with the EU. Putting politics above prosperity is exactly what got the UK into this mess in the first place. – Yours, etc,
PAUL CALLANAN,
