Madam, – The very interesting article by Eoin Burke-Kennedy (Home News, January 1st) on the bombing of two houses in Rathdown Park, Terenure, Dublin in the early hours of January 2nd, 1941 brings back memories.
Of particular interest to me was the statement by the German authorities denying responsibility and that "these bombs are English or they are imaginary". I lived within 100 yards of those houses and the roof of our house was damaged. My father subsequently obtained compensation from the German embassy. O Tempora! O Mores!– Yours, etc,
