Sir, – Your political Editor, Stephen Collins has written a summary of the Fine Gael-Labour Coalition’s two years’ in office (Home News, March 8th) and has used a few nautical terms to outline his case: “duck to water”, “gone overboard” and “pair at the helm”.
Now, every experienced sailor will tell you that when there are two people “at the helm”, the likely outcome is that the ship will “hit the rocks”.
