Madam, - When I walk around the beautiful roads of Cork, I choke on the fumes from artificial manure. My throat becomes sore and sometimes I am sick from fumes, for weeks.

Australia is at last recognising the value of the sea grass (as they call it) abounding on their coasts to use as manure, and exploit commercially. Ireland, too, is surrounded by water, and seaweed litters the coastline.

Are the Aussies so much brighter than the Irish? People die every year of cancer in Ireland from pesticides on the land and in their food. Is it so hard to connect the dots? - Yours, etc.,
