Sir, – Michael Guilfoyle in his piece on "Walk Benbulben" in last week's Magazine quite rightly points out the many access problems on Benbulben (September 23rd). This has been an ongoing problem over the years. Apart from the denial of access to Benbulben for local people, this also affects the rights of Sligo's visitors from other parts of Ireland and those from abroad. Clearly the time has come for access legislation to provide for reasonable access to the countryside to bring us into line with other EU countries. – Yours, etc,
