Sir, – It is to be hoped that if a time ball is installed on the refurbished Ballast Office (News, October 4th) that those entrusted with its care will ensure that it will drop at the appointed time each day and that it will not succumb to the dreaded horological disease which has afflicted most of the public clocks in Dublin and prevents them from ever showing the correct time. – Yours, etc,
LOUIS O’FLAHERTY,
Santry, Dublin 9.
