Dogs should be banned from beaches during summer

Bank holiday weekend beach trips spoilt by roaming dogs

Sir, – I spent a few beautiful sunny days on a beach in north Wexford over the bank holiday weekend. However, it was somewhat spoilt by the number of dogs roaming around despite signs stating that they must be on leads.

On some beaches in the west of Ireland, dogs are banned in July and August. I suggest this should be the case countrywide. – Yours, etc,

LAURA O’MARA,

Stillorgan,
