Sir, - I was excited to read that Paul Delaney intends to set up an umbrella group to look into the prevalence of discarded broken brollies (Letters, February 18th).
I have a (rather lovely) broken brolly that I have been attempting to get repaired for some time with no success. I understand there is a shop in Paris that undertakes such repairs, but it does seem rather a long way to go. Will this ad hoc group undertake repairs and is there any future for broken brollies? – Yours, etc,
