A chara, – Spare a thought for the citizens of south Donegal, who are designated to a constituency consistently referred to as “Sligo/Leitrim”.
With the greatest of respect to our neighbouring counties, the boundaries of this constituency render voters of Bundoran and Ballyshannon to the realm of a no-man’s land as far as political representation is concerned. Without a town council, without a TD, without RTÉ recognition, we remain in a not so splendid isolation. Not waving, but drowning. – Yours, etc,
