A chara, – With keen interest, I read your heavily asterisked report from the Dáil about the interaction between Danny Healy-Rae TD and Paul Murphy TD (News, November 6th). In your sister paper, the Irish Examiner, I read a similar report which didn’t need to use any asterisks. Are the readers of The Irish Times still so reserved and demure that they need to be insulated from certain words?
