Humanitarian crisis in Gaza

Medical assistance

The Irish Times - Letters to the Editor.

Sir, – Once again I have been moved to tears by news reports from Gaza. Why do we as a species make war on children? I am tempted to despair about humanity but one factor holds me back – the incredible bravery, courage and compassion of the aid workers and medical staff who continue to try and bring some relief to those in war-torn situations all over the world. It is easy to feel powerless, but surely the very least we can all do is to support the international medical charities in every way we can. I appeal to your readers to make a donation today to a medical charity of their choice. – Yours, etc,

SYLVIA WIGHAM,
