Sir, – While agreeing with Klaus Harvey’s views on plastic cups (Letters, August 5th), at least he had the luxury of a catering service between Cork and Dublin. This is denied to travellers on all other train trips in the Republic.
On a recent journey to Westport I carried my luggage and the coffee I bought at the station – rather a struggle for the older age group! If a trolley service can be provided on the Cork train why not on journeys of a similar length? – Yours etc,
