Sir, – I too enjoyed Beatrice Doran’s article on George Roe (An Irishwoman’s Diary, July 16th). The old Roe distillery was part of the Guinness site for many years. It was the location of the Guinness printing department where all those oval brown bottle labels were printed. I parked my car under the very old pear tree in the staff car park there for many years! The Digital Hub is a relative newcomer to the site. – Yours, etc,
