Sir, – Mike Moran (Letters, July 11th) describes cycling in Dublin as a treacherous form of transport when competing against buses, trucks, taxis and supersized four-wheel drives. He is not wrong. See also walking in Dublin. This, too, is a treacherous pursuit when competing against silent electric scooters speeding on pavements with the potential to kill or cause serious injury. – Yours, etc,
BRIAN AHERN,
Clonsilla,
Dublin 15.
