Sir, – It was with keen interest that I read Damian Cullen’s article on summer camps, albeit with a hint of sadness (“Summer camps 2024: A guide to the best and most popular non-sports camps”, Your Family, June 4th). Why are there no summer camps for the over-65s? Bridge evenings, art, choirs, music appreciation and language classes are all disbanded for the summer.
The elderly like stimulation too, not to speak of the social aspect of these classes. – Yours, etc,
