Sir, – When the date of the forthcoming elections was announced, some statistics about a previous election were published. These included what seemed to be a high number of spoiled votes. Even more surprising was the number of voting papers that came back with every candidate on ballot papers receiving a number one vote.
Looking at the numerous posters all over the place, perhaps it’s not so surprising as most, if not all, are asking for our “Number One”? Some people are only doing what they’re being asked to do! – Yours, etc,
