Sir, – Further to “New Dublin city centre taskforce to focus on public safety and transport among other issues” (News, May 7th), it is hard to see how yet another taskforce will do anything of substance to improve personal safety on public transport. Perhaps the participants are thinking of holding their meetings on the Luas so they can intervene personally in the well-documented cases of daily anti-social behaviour?
