Sir, – Scientists have produced a reconstruction of what a Neanderthal woman would have looked like, and it is featured in the Netflix documentary Secrets of the Neanderthals. The reconstruction is based on the flattened, shattered remains of a 75,000-year-old skull of a woman in her forties.

The remarkable thing is that she hasn’t a single grey hair on her head, whereas modern women have 40 shades of grey and spend a fortune trying to keep the grey at bay.

I would pay a tidy sum to discover what her Neanderthal secret was. – Yours, etc,
