Sir, – We are three days now into a Met Éireann orange rain alert for Kerry.
This year’s “Optimist of the Year” award must go to Joanna Donnelly for her weather forecast on Tuesday where, after describing a rain front that was moving away from the country but is now coming back, she muses that the temperature is improving and comments, “At least it’s warm rain.”
