Sir, – Finally the board of RTÉ is furious (“RTÉ board members ‘furious, insulted and fed up’ over forced resignation of chair”, News, February 23rd).
The unedifying scandals in RTÉ began to be exposed 12 months ago.
Where has the board’s fury at the scandals been all this time?
People outside the media and political bubble are livid, as shown by the plunge in TV licence payments. The board’s anger is misplaced against Minister for Media Catherine Martin and those who are still struggling to get to the truth in Montrose. The board should get on with reforming RTÉ and start thinking of the general public. – Yours, etc,
