Sir, – I note that in some instances people object to asylum seekers, particularly young men, on the basis that they have not been “vetted”.
This contrasts with the situation in Ireland some years ago, when young men found guilty in court of various crimes were let off under the Probation Act, if they intended to emigrate to England. – Yours, etc,
