Sir, – Reading the contrasting reports of snowdrop emergence in Cork and Arklow (Letters, January 13th), I suggest that the scarcity of the small flower in Arklow may be attributed to the prevailing north-easterly wind, while Cork enjoys an abundance of hot air. – Yours, etc,
