Christmas trees in October?

Sir, – I flew out of Dublin Airport on October 22nd. There were, bizarrely, Christmas decorations in the airport, including Christmas trees.

Maybe mine is a radical view, but this seems a strange choice of festive decoration for October. – Yours, etc,
